South Carolina Schools to be Closed through the End of March

Governor Henry McMaster closes all schools K-12 and colleges, effective immediately, through the end of March amidst the coronavirus threat. Private schools are not in the statewide mandate but many are following suit. An online petition over the weekend pushed to have schools closed like other states and many parents saying they would keep kids home no matter the state's decision. South Carolina's coronavirus cases continue to rise and this is another step by the state to limit the spread of the virus.
