No one knows a city as well as the people who live there, the ones who know where to find the best local shops with the coolest trinkets, hidden gem restaurants with must-try dishes or mesmerizing street art sprinkled along the landscape. America is full of communities who make their mark on their city, making them interesting places to call home and drawing in visitors from all over to see what sets it apart.

According to a list of "offbeat" American locales and "charming oddities" compiled by Reader's Digest, the quirkiest city in all of South Carolina is Columbia, largely thanks to its street art. Columbia has several murals located on buildings and along streets around the city.

Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about this destination:

"Unlike most cities, Columbia tracks and catalogs its street art. It is a place proud of its local artists and their public art pieces and murals, such as the ever-popular 'Tunnel Vision' mural."
