Britney Spears is using the power of dance to heal from past traumas.

On Thursday (January 8), the "Baby One More Time" singer addressed her habit of sharing "embarrassing" dance videos online and why she will continue to post clips showing off her moves. Alongside a throwback photo from her performance at the 2002 American Music Awards, Spears explained in an Instagram post that the videos help her heal deep personal issues that many may not understand, per People.

"Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about," she said. "Yup and it's embarrassing sometimes... but I walked through the fire to save my life."

While she might be dancing for herself most days, she also isn't ruling out the possibility for performing in front of crowds — just don't expect it to be in the states. She also teased in the caption that she hopes to perform with her son overseas, even sharing that she plans to send him the white piano used in her AMA performance.

"I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons, but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son... in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon," she said. "He's a huge star and I'm so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!"

Spears, who shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, didn't specify which of her kids she was referring to, but she did recently spend the holidays with her youngest and has praised his musical abilities in the past.
