Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Won't Appear In Final Season Of 'Fuller House'

Longtime fans of Full House, as well as it's revival Fuller House, were sad to hear the Tanner family would be saying goodbye for good. Netflix announced that Fuller House, which follows grown up versions DJ Tanner, Stephanie Tanner, and Kimmie Gibbler, will come to an end after a fifth and final season. While fans got to see many of the original cast members, including Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, and John Stamos, return to the beloved sitcom, fans were still holding out hope that Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen would make an appearance before the show came to an end. Sadly, though, it seems like that isn't going to happen.

“You heard it from me first: They will never come back!” Candace Cameron Bure, who plays DJ Tanner on Fuller House, told Us Weekly at the 2019 Movieguide Awards on Friday (Feb. 8). “They are never coming back on the show! They don’t want to be on the show. The answer’s no!”

Despite the disappointment of not having fan-favorite Michelle Tanner, played on the original Full House by the Olsen twins, return to the revival before the finale, Bure is confident that fans will be satisfied with the show's conclusion. “I hate to see it end, but with that being said, it’s really great to let fans know ahead of time because we can actually give a really great ending unlike the original Full House and so many other shows that just get canceled on the spot," she explained at the Movieguide Awards. "This is not a cancellation. It’s a proper ending to the series. But I’d be totally game if they wanted to keep going. Of course.”

Are you disappointed Mary-Kate and Ashely won't be returning to the show that made them a household name? Fuller House is streaming now on Netflix.
