Good News: Pasta Doesn't Make You Fat

Pasta has a reputation for making you gain weight; however, a new study reveals that it is associated with a decrease in body mass index. 

The Department of Epidemiology at the Institute for Research, Hospitalization, and Health Care Neuromed in Pozzilli, Italy, studied the eating habits of more than 23,000 people. 

"Many studies already demonstrated how Mediterranean Diet is one of the healthiest nutritional regime, even when we talk about weight control. Very little, however, was known about the specific role of a basic component as pasta," the report said.
