Kanye spoke on his child custody arrangement with estranged wife Kim Kardashian on the 'Alo Mind' podcast on Thursday. "Even to this day, I'll still give Kim advice on things that can help, because that's gonna go to the kids. She's still gotta 80% of the time raise those children, so what people saw when I was going back and forth is I have to be able to throw my version of what people would throw ... to the curriculum because my parents were able to do that to me." Kanye advocated on the podcast for his children going to his 'Donda Academy.'
What was most interesting is that he said Kim has the kids 80% of the time, not 50/50. While Kanye has spoken publicly about being more than displeased about their current custody arrangement, this is the first time we've been given an actual structure on what the current custody arrangement looks like. He also spoke on his Instagram behavior regarding the custody disagreements, "The idea of taking the control and the opinions or anything away from the mother or the father takes away a person's meaning in life. It doesn't matter how much money you have." He did say earlier this month on his Instagram that he had a good meeting with Kim on schools and co-parenting.
Custody and property settlement are the remaining issues in the divorce. Their next upcoming trial on these issues is in December.
