Let me introduce you to a man named Dennis Valstad. He passed away a few months ago and he was a very creative guy...especially when it came to his will. He didn't have a ton of close friend and apparently didn't have a lot of family either, but he DID have some money that he wanted to gift to anybody that showed up to his funeral. We're talking about $500,000 in money that he had to giveaway. I guess he didn't think a bunch of people would show up to his funeral and that's why he secretly put in his will that all $500,000 would be divided equally to whoever showed up for his FUNERAL.
When it was all said and done, 270 people showed up to pay their respects. And they recently got letters in the mail to let them know they were each getting about $1,800.
Dennis, you were loved very much and a lot of people cared about you! I hope you're smiling down at what you saw at your funeral. Very cool idea and I'm sure you put a smile on a bunch of people's face.
