Camila Cabello Sings 'Havana' With Classroom Instruments On 'Tonight Show'

Camila Cabello is on that promotional circuit to spread the word about the release of her debut album, Camila, and her latest stop found herself surrounded by Jimmy Fallon, The Roots and a bunch of classroom instruments for a cover of "Havana."

On Wednesday night (January 17), the former Fifth Harmony singer took to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to churn out the new rendition of the song in conjunction with a Casio keyboard, hand clappers, ukulele, kazoo and more classroom instruments. While Cabello offered up some pretty spot-on vocals, The Roots' performance helped lift the smash to salsa-like territory.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards nominee finally shared her thoughts about 5H's decision to make a very public jab at her during their 2017 MTV Video Music Awards performance. Despite trying to wash her hands of any 5H drama, and that includes nixing the previously-announced name of her solo LP (The Hurting, the Healing, the Loving), Cabello admitted that she was caught off guard when she was her former singing sisters diss her prior to their medley performance of "Angel" and "Down." As you probably recall, the intro to the August set kicked off with five women's silhouettes, before one dramatically fell off the stage.

"It definitely hurt my feelings," the 20-year-old tearfully recalled of performance, which she watched with her mother in their living room. "I wasn't expecting it, I wasn't prepared for it — especially because at that point I'd moved on from it. I was just like, 'What? Why?' I have to make space for the good stuff to happen in my life. I don't like holding onto the past, especially when it’s stuff that, in my opinion, is just petty."
