Keys, who is married to Swiss Beatz, has two sons: Egypt, 9, and Genesis, 5.
“My girl, Aiza, she is fighting me to go to sleep at bed time and it just happened like a light switch,” Sisanie, who is mom to 20-month-old twins Aiza and Maxon told Keys. “All of a sudden now she just cries and cries and does not want to go to bed.”
The “Underdog” singer told Sis that unfortunately it’s just beginning.
“It’s pretty much not going to end until they’re like 6,” Keys shared. “So, unfortunately — I don’t know what happens — and different kids, different things and each personality is different, but like they do these doggone transitions and you just can’t keep up.”
Keys, who is known for her zen demeanor, joked that no, her boys aren’t nearly as calm as she is.
“But, you know actually my oldest Egypt he’s quite patient,” she added. “… He’s a really good older brother cause you know it’s frustrating. You have to like be the leader and kind of do the right thing and show his little brother what to do so he’s quite patient. Genesis is a wild man!” she continued. “He’s all over the place.”
