We all know that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are like married couple goals. They're SO sweet with each other and really truly seem to be so happy together, even when they have to spend weeks apart because of their jobs.
The couple has two daughters together - Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8 - but Nicole recently opened up to PEOPLE about the fact that she would have loved to have more kids with Keith, had it worked out.
Nicole and Keith got married in 2006 when both were in their late 30s. Nicole credits their timing as the only reason they do not have more kids together.
“We go, ‘Oh gosh, I wonder if we met when we were 25, then we could have had 10 of them!’”
But she credits Keith for being able to remind her of their fortunes with the daughters they have now, and not worrying about what could have been if they had met earlier.
“But Keith says, ‘Stop the wanting mind.’ It’s far better to be completely in love and satiated with what you’ve been given, what we’ve been given.”
Oh Keith, always with the sound advice.
Nicole has two other children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise - Isabella, 26, and Connor, 24 - but Nicole and Keith's life is very rooted in Nashville now, and Nicole loves that their daughters often have several friends over and they have a home full of kids.
“Our house is always full of kids,” she says. “Sometimes we have eight kids over for dinner after school.”
In the article, Nicole also talked about what marriage means for her and Keith - and it's always being there for each other in the bad times, even more so than in the good times.
“When my father died, Keith canceled his concert — he was about to walk onstage — and he got on a plane [to Australia],” she says. “He said, ‘This is why you have me. You don’t have to go through this alone.’ He came back that night, and I just fell into him. I was shattered.”
